Bo-Kaap
Arrive in the colourful community of the Bo-Kaap. Formerly known as the Malay Quarter, this picturesque corner of Cape Town is well-known for its vast collection of colourful houses and cobblestone streets. It became home to the Cape Muslim community and many freed slaves after the abolition of slavery in 1834. Take a walk to explore the rich history and unique culture, lifestyle, and personality of the area before making your way to the Company Gardens.

The Company Gardens
The park and heritage site was originally established in the early 1650s by the European Settlers arriving in the area. The gardens provided fresh fruit and vegetables to the ships seeking replenishment when rounding the Cape on their journey to the East. The Gardens now offer a natural retreat from the bustle of the City. Finish your tour of the Company Gardens with a stop at the South African Museum which houses a variety of important African zoology, palaeontology and archaeology collections.
-
Slave Lodge
On the Wale Street end of the garden, step inside the Slave Lodge which explores the history of these unwilling immigrants and how they have contributed to the richness and diversity of South African history. As you drive through the city you shall get a feel for the cultural melting pot that it is. Stop at Truth Cafu00e9 a u2018steampunk inspiredu2019 artisan coffee shop serving hand-roasted coffees in a vintage cast-iron drum (meal for own account). The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel in the late afternoon.
